the TREASURES of TUTANKHAMUN

Alabaster & faience perfume vessel
This is one of thirty-four vessels found in the tomb of Tutankhamun.. The vesseles were used to hold 105 U.S. Gallons (400 liters) of precious oils and unguents. THe band on the neck consists of inlaid blue faience and white limestone imitaions of lotus petals hanging from strings of black & white glass beads: they represent the garlands used to decorate vases on festive occasions.
